"School"

So this August I started doing "school" with the kiddos. While they are still fairly young it really just consists of reading LOTS of books that relate to each other, doing arts and crafts that connect the reading to some type of play activity, and using sensory games to enhance their learning through literature and play. Being a prior Elementary school teacher, this is all up my alley and I'm having a lot of fun doing it! I have been getting most of my ideas from Hubbard's Cupboard. The creator has a "curriculum" (all free-online) for Toddlers and beyond!  Each month has a "theme", book lists, Bible verse, sensory activities, songs, and book ideas. Its great because its all in one and the creator even has an already typed out lesson plan for us "to-do" listy type people. ;) Did I mention it was all online and FREE!?!? Each month we go to the library, pick out books that have to do with that theme and read, re-read, and read some more. J & A have been having a great time with it. Here is a little picture of the last few months...
